Clear Flexible Coating for Glass Breakage Containment

Overview:

Working with industry leaders, Plasti Dip developed a clear, high performance water base coating to prevent glass breakage. The new coating had to be low in emissions, emit no odor after curing, and be cost-effective. Learn more about this state of the art flexible coating.

Challenge:

A new flexible elastomeric water base safety coating was needed to reduce VOC’s, be non-flammable, perform at a very high level and not emit an odor after curing. The new coating also needed to process as fast as the current system and at the same or lower cost per unit.

Solution:

By working closely with an applicator in the glass safety coating business a new state of the art flexible elastomeric coatings was developed. Not only is the new water based product low in VOC’s, non-flammable and perform to the high standards expected but also processes faster then baked powder systems and at a fraction of the cost per unit.
