It Doesn’t Get Much Finer Than Plasti Dip Primer*

For years, Plasti Dippers have been asking for a special formulation that offers a more “permanent” coating than good ol’ Plasti Dip, but that maintains all of Plasti Dip’s other outstanding characteristics. And for years, the team here at Plasti Dip International have been trying to create just such a formulation.

Now, we know the original sticks perfectly well to nearly any surface on its own, but our  fans need a Plasti Dip that will really hold on to metal and (many, but not all, types of) plastic surfaces. Well… problem solved!

We’re happy to introduce the newest creation from Plasti Dip Laboratories, Plasti Dip Primer. With Plasti Dip Primer, you can keep using your favorite colors of aerosol Plasti Dip and give them an even tougher, more secure grip. Specially formulated to provide a nigh-permanent bond on metal, and equally great on certain plastics by happy coincidence, Plasti Dip Primer goes on first—it’s in aerosol form, so application is quick and easy. Then, after the Primer is dry, cover it with a few coats of the spray-on Plasti Dip of your choosing.

And that’s it! Same great, versatile, legendary Plasti Dip, now with a superbly sturdy, superior grip.

Plasti Dip Primer is available in perfectly-sized 11-oz. aerosol cans, and, of course, will be available from the same great retailers who sell Plasti Dip International’s other splendiferous Performix Brand DIY home solution products.

You’ll do just fine, sir,** with Plasti Dip Primer.*

  1. What is the sq. ft. coverage of a can of primer? Is it available in larger cans for spray gun use? Drying time at Rm. temp? How thick can the black finish be applied? Drying time? Larger quantities? Can the primer be applied over either bare steel or powder coat?

    Thanks,
