Creating Killer Custom Combos

As you may know, Plasti Dip can be found in a plethora of colors. And, we’ve just added several new colors to the lineup, as well. Between these readily available, eye-pleasing hues and our popular Create Your Color Kit, Plasti Dip users have trillions* of colors at their disposal. But what if your DIY project needs a little more pizzazz, that special something the French call a certain…I don’t know what?

Plasti Dippers have been asking, via Facebook and Twitter, about “specialized” Plasti Dip varieties, specifically metallics. While we agree that metallic Plasti Dips would be pretty sweet, we are not developing anything of the sort at this time. But, with the Plasti Dip color of your choosing and one of our Plasti Dip Enhancers, it’s easy to create a killer custom combo that will give your project the extra oompapa you’re after.

As you can see, Plasti Dip Enhancers can give Plasti Dip a number of metallic looks. We used Blaze Purple on all of the panels pictured. The one on the far left shows Blaze Purple** con solo, while the others, from left to right, were additionally sprayed with Gold Metalizer, Silver Metalizer, and Pearlizer. Marvelously metallic, no?

This method works great with any color Plasti Dip. It’s a quick and easy technique, not to mention a pretty darn fun one, making it well worth the time and effort to try different combinations until you find the right custom color-and-Enhancer combo for your application. The possibilities are dang near limitless!

What say you, Plasti Dip fans? Do you have any projects on tap that you’re thinking of creating a killer custom combo for? As always, we love to see Plasti Dip users’ talents on display, so be sure to share your stories and photos through social media and in the comments below. * Seriously. I counted.
** For some reason, our Blaze colors don’t photograph very well. They look amazing in person, though, that’s for sure.
