Where Can I Buy Plasti Dip Colors?

It is extremely easy to find Black Plasti Dip in both application varieties, since all of our retailers carry them. But what if your project requires a color other than Black? Where can you find the other premixed colors? I can help you with that!

First, your local Ace Hardware, Do It Best, and Hardware Hank stores carry all colors. If their shelf inventory is low, ask them to get the premixed color you need from their warehouse.

Second, we have a list of Online Retailers on our website, www.plastidip.com, that you can order from. They inventory all Plasti Dip colors in the 14.5 oz. and 11 oz. containers.

Third, if you are looking for a color that we do not offer premixed, you can purchase our Create Your Color Kit and make virtually any color you want. And, if you prefer the spray version, you can purchase a hand held Preval Sprayer and actually spray the Plasti Dip color you created. (Thinning will be required, so please follow the instructions on the back of the Create Your Color label.) Create Your Color Kits can be purchased from Ace Hardware Stores and several Online Retailers including Caswell and Toolmart’s Professional Grade Tools. Please visit our Home Solutions Where to Buy page for more information including website links and contact information.

I believe this information will help make your purchase of Plasti Dip colors easy, but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need additional assistance.

Is there any way to make the colors have a shine? I am wanting to do art with the product and would like it to have a gloss finish. Also, is it possible to paint this product on with a paint brush?

    • Deb says:

Hi Skyler, Thanks for your comment.

We are currently working on a glossy finish to introduce to the retail market early 2012. Today we have F799 gloss Plasti Dip in 5 gallon containers that can be purchased from industrial distributors. Plasti Dip can be brushed on and may need to be thinned to eliminate brush marks.

Can you dye over the coating?

    • Deb says:

      Hi Sue,

Thanks for your comment! We haven’t tried dying over the coating so we can’t tell you for certain if it will work or not. Please let us know if you try it and how it works out. Have fun!

Hello, I saw many items that were covered by Plasti Dip, and I like it.
Now I guess it’s my time, I want to change color of my rims.
But I need spray red or green, yellow…. I couldn’t find spray, ready in bottle, only black.
Can you please tell me, are you going to create some of them?
I know you have color mixing kits, but it’s not that I was looking for… :(
    thanks

    • Deb says:

Hi Esen, thanks for your comment! We make the Plasti Dip spray in white, red, blue and black. In addition to our new Plasti Dip Enhancers
formulations, we hope to manufacture more Plasti Dip spray colors in the future. If you’re having trouble finding Plasti Dip spray,
you can visit our Where to Buy page for a retailer in your area or online.
      Thank you!

  8. ian says:

hello, i was wondering if you can apply vinyl decals over the plastic?

    • Hi Ian,

Thanks for your comment. We can’t say for certain whether your vinyl decal would stick or not
as it depends on the surface you apply the Plasti Dip, the thickness, as well as your vinyl decal.
Please give it a try and let us know how it went!

Hello, I have an automotive project that I’d like to use your Glossifier product on. I have a spongy steering wheel that I’ll be first coating with your black Plasti Dip spray product, then putting the Glossifier on top of that. Will the Glossifier hold up to repeated tight grabbing and squeezing without developing cracks? Also, is there a retailer near the 91739 zip code that has it in stock?

    • Hi Richard, thanks for your question! The Glossifier does have a little tackiness to it and depending on the what your desired expectation is, you might want that tackiness for gripping. As for the cracking, Plasti Dip does not crack, chip, or peel and the longevity of the coating will depend on usage. Please let us know how it turns out. Happy Plasti Dipping!

    Dear Sir,

Where can I buy Plasti Dip in Europe (Finland)? Does Amazon UK ship chemicals around Europe?

    Best Regards,

    Pekka

  11. steve says:

do you have orange or green i would be interested in this ??

    • Hi Steve! Thanks for your question. At this time, we don’t manufacture orange, but we do manufacture an olive green color in our Plasti Dip Camo line . However, it is very easy to make your own orange or green by mixing red and yellow for orange, or blue and yellow Plasti Dip for green. Another option is to use our Create Your Color kit, which comes with tints to add to clear Plasti Dip. Happy Dipping and please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
